- Open the text messaging app on your phone.
- Type your CNIC number without hyphens.
- Send the message to 668.
- You will receive a reply message with the total number of active SIM cards issued to your CNIC.
Via the PTA SIM Information Website:
- Go to the PTA SIM Information website.
- Enter your CNIC number and click “Submit.”
- You will be shown a list of all the SIM cards registered to your CNIC.
If you find that there are more SIMs registered to your CNIC than you are aware of, you should contact the customer service department of the relevant cellular company to have the extra SIMs blocked.
What is SIM Cloning?
SIM cloning is a crime where a criminal copies the identification information from one SIM card and transfers it to another SIM card. This allows the criminal to use the cloned SIM card to make calls, send text messages, and use data services as if they were the original SIM card owner.
