The Zakat and Ushr Council of Punjab has approved 33,370 scholarships for deserving students. The scholarships will be awarded to students studying in Intermediate, BS, and Postgraduate programs, as well as students studying in professional institutions including medical, engineering, and CS programs.

The scholarships were approved at the 27th meeting of the Zakat and Ushr Council, which was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Mian Abrar Ahmed. The meeting also approved the proceedings of the 26th session of the council, and discussed a number of other issues, including the issuance of educational scholarships.

The scholarships approved in the meeting are worth more than 133.4 million rupees. They will be awarded to deserving students of 334 educational institutions in 36 districts across Punjab.
